Course Format & Duration

The online learning and assessment is expected to take approximately 7-8 hours to complete. These timeframes are estimates. Individuals with prior experience in similar training may complete the course in less time, while those new to the subject may need more time to complete all the learning content and assessment questions.

This course is delivered fully online and will be self-paced. Students are expected to complete this course within six (6) months after enrolment.

Entry Requirements

An individual undertaking this course will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:

1. As a registered training organisation (RTO), delivering nationally recognised training, we must verify a student's identity before undertaking the assessment. To meet this requirement, you will be required to show your photo identification to the camera and state your full name, as listed on your identification document.

2. Must meet English and LLN requirements. The Training Package clearly states:

Proficient verbal and written English language skills to demonstrate communication skills in complex situations and to complete a written incident report form.

3. Students must have access to a device with camera and audio recording capabilities, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a webcam. This device will be necessary for creating short videos as part of the assessment, in which students verbally explain the required assessment outcomes.

Assessment Requirements

Practical assessment:

Students are required to upload four (4) videos of themselves briefly explaining how they would respond to the scenarios provided.

Documentation:

Complete one (1) Incident Report form

Theory assessment:

A written assessment consisting of case studies and multiple-choice questions

Please note: You will be required to make four (4) videos of yourself, verbally explaining the required assessment outcome. If you do not wish to complete video assessment questions, please consider an alternative mode of delivery (eg online with face-to-face assessment).
